... to the Senior Golfers of South Carolina website. We are an amateur golf association made up of 360 golfers over 55 years old and located throughout South Carolina. We host eleven tournaments at some of the state's finest courses and end the season with a two-day tournament held at a beautiful resort area in South Carolina.

2022 marks our 56th anniversary when our founders brought together this organization for the purpose of promoting friendly competition and good fellowship among senior golfers throughout South Carolina.

I am honored with my recent appointment to serve as the seventh Executive Secretary of the Senior Golfers of SC since our beginning in 1966.

Executive Secretary

Our Board of Governors member,
Joe McMurry, who also serves as our Tournament Committee Chair, aced the 12th hole at Orangeburg CC yesterday.

It was his second ace in his career.

We were notified that long time member, Charlie Barber, died on Friday, May 9th. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Having joined in 1993, Charlie was an Emeritus Member for the last 9 years.

Another sad note that 7 year veteran, Ron Murray, died this week. |A very active member, Ron will be missed.

Our bad news continues with the announcement that Andy Caudill
an Emeritus Member that joined in 1997 died on June 20 in Lancaster.

On July 25, we lost our 4th oldest current member with the death of Frank Russell. Frank was from Greenwood and a member since 1990. A very popular member, Frank will be missed

One of our favorite seniors that had been with us since 2015, Miller Deaton of Lancaster, has succumbed to cancer. A great guy and a good friend to all.

After no departures in 2021, Miller is our fifth member to die in 2022.
